Duma Works is recruiting a  Chief Operations Officer for one of its clients in Nairobi.

What is Generation? Generation is the world’s largest, fastest scaling global youth employment program, providing young adults with the opportunity to launch successful careers and change their life trajectories. Our goal is to deliver for young adults and employers simultaneously: supporting the personal and financial well-being of young people, while helping businesses acquire entry-level hires who are higher productivity, higher quality, retain longer, and are faster to promotion than peers. Generation is the first program of Generation Incorporated a non-profit founded by McKinsey & Company, with the aim of training and employing 1 million youth in 5 years. Generation is active in 5 countries to date – USA, Kenya, Spain, Mexico and India and is expanding to 3 more countries in 2018.

Generation global outcomes to date: Generation has graduated >16,000 young people across 49 cities in just over two years of operation. 98% of supervisors say they would hire a Generation graduate again, and nearly 88% say that Generation graduates outperform their peers along business metrics. Students also recognize the impact of the program, evaluating their life almost a rung and a half higher on a ten rung “life quality and well-being index ladder between the start and end of the program. Graduates earn incomes at or above the 50th percentile relative to their youth peers, and their income increased 2-6 times following Generation. Nearly 55 percent of our graduates are female, and over 30 percent of our students have dependents.

Generation Kenya outcomes to date, in numbers: Since inception in 2014, Generation Kenya has graduated over 7,200 youth and placed ~90% in jobs through our 180+ employer partners.
